**City of Lakeland Works to Clear Parks and Green Spaces After Hurricane Milton**
Lakeland, FL - The City of Lakeland's Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department reports significant progress in clearing parks and green spaces affected by Hurricane Milton. The Parks Storm Team, along with the Public Works Department, has been actively working to remove hazards, including leaves and debris, from roadways to ensure safe passage for emergency vehicles and the community.
As a result of these efforts, the city expects to announce additional park openings today. The Cemeteries will also receive more attention, with access to necessary equipment for safety improvements.
Cleveland Heights Golf Course opened nine holes for play yesterday, and maintenance efforts will continue in that area.
For ongoing updates related to park and green space openings, community members can visit Lakelandgov.net/ParkRecHurricane.
The city expresses gratitude to the community for their resilience as everyone works together to recover from the impacts of the hurricane.
