Scranton's Event-Filled Weekend Rocks Lackawanna County

Scranton, Pennsylvania – Visitors in Lackawanna County have a full schedule of events planned for May 29 through June 1, according to local sources. Organizers have provided a list of activities taking place across the region.

At Lakeland Orchard & Cidery, families can enjoy Baby Animal Days. Sports enthusiasts have an opportunity to watch the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders face off against the Worcester Red Sox at PNC Field. History and industry are highlighted with a tour of a local coal mine in the area.

Live music and performances are part of the weekend’s offerings. Black Tie Stereo will perform at The Vspot Bar, while Meet Me on Marcie is set to perform at the Curran Brewing Company. Additionally, Scranton Limited will operate Yard Shuttle Train rides at the Steamtown National Historic Site.

For fans of rock music, Coheed and Cambria along with Mastodon will appear on The Infinite Arc Tour at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain. A comedy show is scheduled at The Bar and Company, and roller derby enthusiasts can attend Tapped & Tatted at the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Roller Derby event. The weekend concludes with a concert at Nay Aug Park as part of the park’s Sunday Concert Series.
